Payment Methods

When you book through Rodavia, you pay an advance online to confirm the reservation. The balance is settled directly with the rental company at their counter, following the conditions printed in your voucher.

Booking Advance Online

The advance payment is processed by card at the time of booking. We accept Visa and Mastercard issued by banks worldwide. This amount is a portion of the total and secures your vehicle with the rental company. The receipt and voucher are sent to your email immediately after the transaction.

Debit cards work the same way as credit cards for the online advance. The system does not distinguish between the two at checkout.

Balance at the Counter

The remaining amount is paid directly to the rental company when you collect the vehicle. Each supplier sets their own accepted methods - most take credit cards, some accept debit cards, and a few handle cash. Your voucher lists the options available for that particular booking.

Read the voucher before you travel. If it states "credit card required" and you only have a debit card, contact us through the details on the contact page so we can check alternatives or switch suppliers if needed.

Deposit at Pick-Up

Separately from the rental balance, the counter will authorize a deposit on a card as security. This is not a payment but a hold that releases after you return the vehicle undamaged. The voucher states the deposit amount and which card types the supplier accepts for this hold. Some companies require a credit card for the deposit even if they take debit for the rental balance.
